“Do this in remembrance of me”… Jesus Christ (Luke 22:19)
It is called the “Last Supper”. It is the final meal of Christ Jesus before he endured a painful and humiliating death. I will be honest with you, I don’t understand everything about the death of Christ. I don’t understand completely how his death helps me today but I do believe that one day I will.
The Arch Angel Abraham has guided me to write about this tonight. I thank you, Jesus for what you did, not just your death, but your very life. The teachings you passed on to us, still touch many lives to their benefit.
Jesus did what he did because he knows the EVERY life is precious. What better way to show gratitude and honor Christ than to live every day to the fullest. By showing self-respect, we in turn, show appreciation for the precious life given to us. It is a small thing to do and this time of year is a great reminder of that.
Abraham also wanted to note that there are many ways various denominations show this gratitude. Some gather together on Passover night and honor his death and others, on Easter Sunday recognize his resurrection. He points out there is no right or wrong way to do it, as long as we do it.
I asked Abraham if it important to do this each year. He said it is absolutely important. I asked if one day I will understand the full importance of the death of Christ. He said that the light will get brighter for me and I will understand it all. I take great comfort in that.
